Scootopia made Lambretta 185 barrel & piston kit.

The barrel is Aluminium and nikasil plated with an Aluminium head (there’s no need for a head gasket for the kit).
This kit is can be fitted to any Lambretta Series 1,2,3 OR DL/GP 125/150 & 175 engine case. Developed it with :-
SCOOTOPIA 22MM CARB ,22MM MANIFOLD and SCOOTOPIA CLUBMAN /BGM CLUBMAN / AF clubman in mind .

Second version updated from our original kit. All porting designs and head are the same as version one, overall quality of finish is much better than version one with much cleaner porting, better base and inlet gaskets with a better finishing of nikasil plating.

WE RECOMMEND USING A QUALITY GP CRANKSHAFT , HI LOAD BEARINGS ,SURFLEX 4 PLATE CLUTCH KIT WITH UPRATED SPRINGS .

The kit also comes with High Tensile Cylinder Studs, Exhaust Studs, Inlet Studs, Nuts, Washers, Cylinder Spacer and Gaskets.

The 185 kit is designed for standard conrod lengths : 58mm x 107mm. Excellent well-made kit, can be used with standard or bigger carbs.

We recommend you upgrade the rest of your engine before fitting this kit ie quality GP crankshaft , bearings,oil seals,clutch etc

Other helpful tips for the fitting of the 185 are : Set the ignition timing to 17-19 degrees BTDC for fixed systems or to retard to that point for variable systems. With a 22mm-25mm carb and Clubman exhaust ,a 5.00-1 top gear ratio is adviseable, although the kit will pull up to 4.8-1 ratios (depending on rider,carb,exhaust used). With a 22mm-25mm carb fitted, GP200 settings are a good starting point. As with most Lambretta engines the squish should be set 1.2 - 1.5mm.

Do NOT use the 185 kit with a small-necked Series 2 type airbox.

The kit comes without a head gasket and doesn't need one.

For oil we recommend SILKOLENE CLASSIC 2 STROKE fully synthetic oil .

Running we recommend max 500 miles first 300 taking it easy , short journeys only.
